Digital Futures is an ESRC-funded project hosted by the UK Data Service at the University of Essex and is working to provide online access to selected qualitative data collections. The goal of this project is to create a user-friendly browsing tool that will allow scholars all over the world to explore our data collections that have previously only been available in paper format. We also hope to provide a framework for enhanced publications and teaching resources that will allow scholars to cite and link to qualitative data extracts within their original context.
The project PI and director is Louise Corti, Libby Bishop is managing the digitization work with Maureen Haaker coordinating. Darren Bell is managing the technical side of data and metadata entry, and data storage. Ashley Fox and Oscar Dovao are building our browsing system. Agustina Martinez and Arofan Gregory are our metadata and technical consultants.
We will soon be posting details of the collections we are currently digitizing, but if you wish to know more about the project please contact our collections coordinator email@example.com.
